Idaho Power has programs that can help you become more energy efficient. When you change the way you use energy, you help reduce demand, protect our limited resources, and lower your electric bills.

Energy efficiency program participation has increased significantly in 2007 as Idaho Power uses new and existing programs to help meet the projected demand on our electrical supply system.

The 2004 IRP (now referred to as the Energy Plan for the Future) outlined two programs designed to reduce the highest summer use and four focused on overall energy use. By 2014, the plan projects summertime savings that are slightly more than the generating capacity of the American Falls dam. Our 2006 Energy Plan calls for additional energy efficiency savings equal to the electricity needed to power approximately 55,000 homes.
