Idaho Power owns and operates two natural gas-fired plants:

In addition, the company operates two, 5-MW diesel generation units near Salmon only for emergencies.
The company has approximately 250 MW of simple-cycle combustion turbine (SCCT) capacity in its existing resource fleet, and plans to have another 170 MW on-line by the summer of 2008.
